To God be the Glory – C.H.Spurgeon

“To whom be glory for ever. Amen” – Romans 11:36.

TO whom be glory for ever.” This should be the single desire of the Christian. All other wishes must be subservient and tributary to this one. The Christian may wish for prosperity in his business, but only so far as it may help him to promote this – “To Him be glory for ever.” He may desire to attain more gifts and more graces, but it should only be that “To Him may be glory for ever.” You are not acting as you ought to do when you are moved by any other motive than a single eye to your Lord’s glory. As a Christian, you are “of God, and through God,” then live “to God.” Let nothing ever set your heart beating so mightily as love to Him. Let this ambition fire your soul; be this the foundation of every enterprise upon which you enter, and this your sustaining motive whenever your zeal would grow chill; make God your only object. Depend upon it, where self begins sorrow begins; but if God be my supreme delight and only object,

“To me ’tis equal whether love ordain

My life or death – appoint me ease or pain.”

God's glory

Let your desire for God’s glory be a growing desire. You blessed Him in your youth, do not be content with such praises as you gave Him then. Has God prospered you in business? Give Him more as He has given you more. Has God given you experience? Praise Him by stronger faith than you exercised at first. Does your knowledge grow? Then sing more sweetly. Do you enjoy happier times than you once had? Have you been restored from sickness, and has your sorrow been turned into peace and joy? Then give Him more music; put more coals and more sweet frankincense into the censer of your praise. Practically in your life give Him honour, putting the “Amen” to this doxology to your great and gracious Lord, by your own individual service and increasing holiness.

The One Who Knows You!!!

Girl tear-Rev 21 3 4

Beloved, we serve a God who wants to do more than we can ask or imagine. He is the only one who knows all our past, present and future.

In fact, He is aware of each and every single day we have spent on this earth and His word says “all the days ordained for me were written in your book, before one of them came to be.”

Remember, one touch from God can change your circumstances. Choose today to trust His plan for our life and start anticipating His touch of favour.

Know that you do not have to have the weight of the whole world on your shoulders, but God can and will carry them for you and lead you to the brightest unimaginable future, if only you allow Him to. Your history does not determine your destiny! Continue reading The One Who Knows You!!!

BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED!!

And when He saw a fig tree in the way, He came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. – Matthew 21:18-19

Believe1
The Greek word for presently means “instantly; immediately; soon.” However, the disciples didn’t realize that the fig tree had died until the next day. If the tree died instantly, why didn’t they notice it until the next morning? The answer to this question is found in Mark 11:20. The tree was dead from the roots up. The tree did die instantly just as the Word declared, but what had happened to the roots wasn’t visible until the next morning.

There is a spiritual lesson here that applies to us receiving things from God. When we ask, we do receive, but it may take a period of time before we perceive it in the natural realm. God’s answer comes before we see the manifestation of what we have believed the Lord for when we prayed. Just as with this fig tree, the answer lies beneath the surface, and therefore we don’t “see” what God is doing until the answer manifests.

Prayer that meets the requirements outlined in God’s Word is always answered.

Many times we don’t perceive the answer because it always comes in the spiritual realm first then is manifested in the physical realm. If we waver from our confident faith, then we abort the manifestation of our answer to prayer. But God did answer. Everyone that asks receives.

Is There Anything too Hard for the LORD???

“Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You” (Jer. 32:17).

You have prayed the prayer of Faith,

You are standing on God’s truth,

While you are waiting on the answer,

God has Question for You???

Is there anything too hard for Me????

God brings us to the end of our strength so that we will trust in His ability to do the impossible.

Jeremiah 32 27

If God has you in a humanly impossible situation, it is to bring you to the end of your own strength so that you will trust in His ability to do the humanly impossible.

You may not ever see the answer in your lifetime. But you can trust in Him and give glory to Him, knowing that His Word of promise will stand, and that He has not forgotten His promise to you.

Whatever you are facing today, know that God has the answer no matter what things look like in the natural. Trust Him because He can make a way where there seems to be no way. He can make something out of nothing.

In Genesis 18:10, the Lord says to Abraham and Sarah, “I will surely return to you ….” God’s Word to us is always surely, even when circumstances shout, “No way!” Remember God’s question, “Is anything too difficult for Me?” and trust Him to do what is humanly impossible. May He bless you as you wait on Him!

God will give You an Expected End!!

Jeremiah 29 11

God knows you — by name, by address, by spirit, by personality. His thoughts toward us are of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). God is a loving and a peaceful God, He would never wish that bad things would happen to us. God wants to give us the desires of our hearts if we would only seek Him first.

God knows the thoughts He thinks toward us and His thoughts are the only ones that count. It makes no difference what other people think of you.

God has plans for you. Surely He will give you an expected end. we don’t care about what is happening now. God is in control. He knows the end.

God promised us to give an expected end. But God says to us to do our part.

1. God says to us to pray for others.(And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.-Jer 29:7)

2. God says to us to listen His words alone. Don’t listen false prophets(Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord.-Jer 29:8)

3. God says to us to wait for His perfect time.(After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. -Jer 29:10)

Then He will perform His good Word toward us.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jer 29 29:11-13
